Schloss Schönfeld, Heritage château in Bismark, Germany
Schloss Schönfeld stands as a two-story plastered structure with a mansard hipped roof, elevated on a high cellar base in Saxony-Anhalt.
Otto von Rundstedt commissioned the construction of the castle in 1873, which took three years to complete on the grounds of the Schönfeld manor.
The castle interior features ornate stucco ceilings, wall paintings, ceiling frescoes, and decorative elements that reflect German nobility architectural preferences.
The castle functions as an official registry office branch of Bismark, allowing couples to hold civil ceremonies inside the building or in the castle park.
The 87,625-square-meter English-style castle park, established in 1885, contains 90 different tree species, including a sequoia tree under nature protection since 1971.
