St. Stephanus, Catholic parish church in Hitdorf, Leverkusen, Germany.
The neo-Romanesque brick basilica features a double-tower facade, transept, and semi-circular apse, incorporating neo-Gothic interior furnishings with restored historical colors.
Construction of Sankt Stephanus began in 1885 and finished in 1887 with one initial tower, built at a flood-safe location on Hitdorfer Strasse.
The church bells underwent multiple transformations, as they were melted during both world wars before receiving new consecration in August 1952.
The church operates a library with specific hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, offering services to the local community throughout the year.
The organ installed in 2002 originated from St. Paul's Church in Chiswick, London, where it was initially constructed in 1872.
