St. Petri, Medieval church at Petriplatz, Freiberg, Germany
The stone building features a prominent 74-meter tower, known as Petriturm, which stands as the highest structure in Freiberg's city center.
Founded on January 17, 1215, the church underwent substantial reconstruction after the city fire of 1728, resulting in its current baroque architectural elements.
The church houses a significant Silbermann organ from 1734, representing the largest two-manual instrument created by the Freiberg organ master.
Visitors can access the tower during guided tours and explore the church's bright hall with its cross-ribbed vaults and single-story gallery.
The north entrance hall contains memorials that document the church's historical use as a burial site for Freiberg citizens.
