Stadtpark Bad Godesberg

Stadtpark Bad Godesberg is an 8 hectare park featuring an oval pond with a fountain, surrounded by trees from different continents. The English landscape design combines open lawns with wooded areas, creating varied views and spaces for walking throughout.

The park began taking shape in 1880 as former villa gardens were gradually incorporated into a large English landscape garden design. This expansion process shaped how it looks today and how it is laid out.

A concert shell near the city hall hosts musical performances and cultural events that shape the rhythm of the park throughout the year. Visitors can experience local and regional artists in an open-air setting that brings the community together.

The park offers barrier-free access with wheelchair-accessible main areas and restroom facilities at the city hall. Pathways are well marked and allow for comfortable walks for visitors of all mobility levels.

A carillon with 23 bells was installed in the park during the 1979 Federal Garden Exhibition. This unusual musical installation often surprises visitors who stumble upon it while walking through the grounds.
