Ebnether Keller, Historical stone cellar complex in Burgkunstadt, Germany
The Ebnether Keller consists of numerous sandstone cellars carved into the hillside forest, extending over 250 meters in length and 50 meters in width.
Dating back to approximately 1790, these cellars were initially constructed for storing beer and food supplies, serving the local community until the mid-20th century.
The annual Father's Day celebration at Ebnether Keller, established in 1973, brings together residents for a traditional festival organized by local firefighters.
The cellar complex stands at 430 meters above sea level and can be reached through narrow forest paths covered with pine needles, located 250 meters west of Ebneth.
Among the rock formations, visitors find carved stone stairs leading to a flat summit containing a ritual basin, which some groups interpret as a healing stone.
