Wätjens Schloss, Protected heritage château in Blumenthal, Germany.
The Tudor Gothic-style villa features architectural elements including towers, ornate windows, and detailed stone carvings throughout its exterior structure.
Built between 1858 and 1864 by merchant Christian Heinrich Wätjen, the castle replaced an earlier summer residence constructed by his father in 1830.
The château stands within Wätjens Park, which follows the design principles of English landscape gardens with extensive lawns and mature trees.
The building currently houses private residential apartments and an artist studio, while the surrounding park remains open for public visits.
During World War I, the château served as a military hospital before being divided between two industrial companies, Bremer Vulkan and Bremer Wollkämmerei.
