Serbski dom

The Serbski dom is a four-story sandstone building with distinctive triangular gables located at Postplatz in Bautzen. Inside, it houses several institutions dedicated to Sorbian culture, language, and heritage preservation.

The building was reconstructed after World War II to replace an earlier structure that had been destroyed during the conflict. Its foundation stone was laid in 1947, marking the beginning of this space as a center for Sorbian life.

The building serves as a living center for the Sorbian community, where their language and customs are actively maintained and shared. Visitors can explore how this Slavic minority keeps its identity alive within the everyday life of the region.
