Niedertiefenbach, Neolithic tomb near Beselich-Niedertiefenbach, Germany.
The megalithic structure measures 10 by 3.2 meters and features limestone slabs with two separate chambers divided by vertical stone partitions.
The tomb dates from before 3000 BC and belongs to the Wartberg culture, containing remains of 177 individuals across ten burial layers.
The presence of copper spirals, amber beads, and flint tools within the tomb indicates established trade networks and burial practices of Neolithic communities.
Archaeological investigations revealed genetic information showing the population consisted of 60 percent Early European Farmer and 40 percent Western Hunter-Gatherer ancestry.
The tomb contains two distinct flooring areas separated by vertical slabs, suggesting different purposes or phases of use within the same structure.
