Blabbermühle and Blabberschäferei

The Blabbermühle comprises multiple brick structures positioned along the Blabbergraben stream, including residential buildings and agricultural facilities from different construction periods.

First recorded in 1518 in the Storkow estate registry, the mill operated continuously until the 1920s, processing grain and oil before its eventual abandonment in 1952.

The adjacent Blabberschäferei became the residence of German writer Günter de Bruyn in 1968, connecting the site to literary circles in Brandenburg.

Located at coordinates 52° 09′ 16.37″ N, 14° 04′ 00.54″ E, the site is accessible through local roads in the Oder-Spree district of Brandenburg.

Archaeological evidence reveals that two post windmills once stood above the watermill, creating a complex milling system that served the local community.
