Burg Banz

Burg Banz is a stone fortress perched on Banzer Berg overlooking the Rodach Valley. The structure features defensive walls and towers combined with Renaissance-style architecture that defines its appearance.

The fortress was built in the 12th century as a regional defense stronghold and underwent several renovations afterward. By the 19th century it transformed into an educational institution and continues to serve as a cultural venue.
