Bullerei occupies a former slaughterhouse building, featuring industrial elements transformed into a contemporary dining space with exposed brick walls and metal fixtures.

The restaurant opened in the early 2000s under the direction of chefs Tim Mälzer and Patrick Rüther, transforming an industrial space into a dining establishment.

The restaurant merges German culinary traditions with international influences, serving dishes that reflect Hamburg's connection to global gastronomy.

Located opposite Sternschanze station, the restaurant operates from noon to 4 PM for lunch service and reopens at 5 PM for dinner service.

The restaurant maintains its original industrial character while functioning as both a protected heritage monument and a modern dining establishment.
