Heiligste Dreifaltigkeit

Heiligste Dreifaltigkeit is a three-nave basilica with a transept and integrated choir set in Kriegshaber. The interior features a red marble altar and frescoes that define the modern liturgical arrangement of the space.

Construction began in 1866 under architect Max Treu during a period of expansion in the neighborhood. Following severe bomb damage in 1944, the building underwent complete reconstruction between 1948 and 1950.

The name refers to the Holy Trinity, a core concept in Catholic belief that gives the church its spiritual identity. Visitors can see this theme reflected in the interior's symbolic arrangements and artistic elements throughout the space.

The building is easily accessible by public transportation and sits in a residential neighborhood with nearby shops and restaurants. Visitors should consider attending during service times to experience the full acoustic and spiritual atmosphere of the interior.

A Lourdes Chapel on the western side of the entrance area replicates the grotto site in Lourdes, France, where religious apparitions are said to have occurred. This creates a special place of devotion within the building that draws many visitors.
