Charlottenlund Palace, Royal palace in Charlottenlund, Denmark.
The baroque palace features a central dome, symmetrical wings, and French Renaissance architectural elements following its 1880s extension and renovation.
Engineer Officer H. H. Scheel began construction in 1731 on the foundations of Gyldenlund Palace, using materials from the demolished Copenhagen Castle.
The palace grounds contain a 14-hectare English-style Romantic garden with various smaller structures, including a preserved ice house.
Located 10 kilometers north of Copenhagen at Jægersborg Alle 1, the palace currently functions as a venue for cultural events and office spaces.
Both Christian X of Denmark and Haakon VII of Norway were born within the palace walls during its time as a royal residence.
