Møllehøj, Natural hill in Skanderborg Municipality, Denmark
Møllehøj is a natural hill in Skanderborg Municipality that rises to 170.86 meters above sea level. The summit is surrounded by deciduous forest and offers broad views across the surrounding landscape from above.
An octagonal mill building with an onion-shaped roof once stood on the hill and operated from 1838 until 1917. This structure was part of the rural crafts infrastructure that shaped the Danish countryside.
The summit holds a millstone that recalls Denmark's farming traditions and connects the place to the crafts that once shaped this landscape. This stone represents how mills were woven into rural life.
A parking area near Ejer Bavnehøj is located about 300 meters from the summit, with a marked path leading to the top. The walk is short and accessible for most visitors.
Measurements taken in February 2005 revealed that this hill surpasses both Yding Skovhøj and Ejer Bavnehøj, which had long been considered Denmark's highest points. This finding reshaped understanding of which location truly stands at the country's peak.
