The location transformed from a 1946 amusement park known as Tivoliland into a public green space after its closure in 2010.

The park includes designated areas for community gatherings, skateboarding facilities, and urban gardens that foster social connections among local residents.

The park incorporates the Østerå stream system, contributing to flood prevention and water management while providing accessible pathways throughout the grounds.

The renovation project uncovered and integrated the historic Østerå stream, which remained hidden under concrete for over 100 years.
