Dehn Mansion, Rococo office building at Bredgade 54, Copenhagen, Denmark
Dehn Mansion is a three-story Rococo office building at Bredgade 54 in Copenhagen, featuring tall arched windows, sandstone decorations, and a facade adorned with vases and cartouches. Inside, it contains open office spaces, lounge areas, quiet zones, and private offices, along with an innovation room that serves the philanthropic foundation housed within.
Johann Gottfried Rosenberg built the mansion between 1752 and 1756 as part of Nicolai Eigtved's design for the Frederiksstaden district in Copenhagen. It came into existence during a period when this area was being developed as an elegant new neighborhood for the upper classes.
The mansion displays furniture from the House of Finn Juhl, including the Council Chair by Kasper Salto and Thomas Sigsgaard. These pieces shape how the interior looks and reveal a blend of classic design with modern work spaces.
The building is accessible during daytime hours and offers different areas where visitors can find varying levels of quiet and activity. It sits in a well-connected neighborhood and is easy to reach from central Copenhagen.
It is one of two identical mirror-image buildings that flank the entrance to Amalienborg via Frederiksgade. This paired arrangement creates a symmetrical gateway to the royal residence and makes the two structures architecturally distinctive.
