Amager Bio

Located in a modernistic building, Amager Bio spans two stages featuring steely gray architecture, sharp lines, and efficient seating arrangements for performances.

The structure operated as Amager Biograf cinema from 1941 to 1986 before transforming into a concert venue in 1997, maintaining its architectural character.

The venue presents over 200 annual concerts across genres, with particular emphasis on rock, blues, and contemporary electronic music from Scandinavian artists.

Visitors can reach the cultural center via Metro to Amagerbro station or bus 5C from Copenhagen Central Station, with the entrance located 800 meters from transit stops.

The smaller BETA stage accommodates 150 people in a compact setting, providing an alternative space for emerging artists and specialized musical performances.
