Jonstrup Camp, Military installation in Ballerup Municipality, Denmark
Jonstrup Camp is a military complex located northwest of Copenhagen in Ballerup Municipality, home to the Royal Danish Air Force Officers School and Air Force Library. The 30-hectare site houses multiple training departments and an extensive collection of Danish military literature and documents.
The Danish Defence established Jonstrup Camp in 1950 as a training center for infantry troops. The Royal Danish Air Force took over in 1955 and transformed it into an officer training facility.
The facility maintains military educational traditions through specialized training programs and houses an extensive collection of Danish military literature.
The site contains numerous training buildings and administrative facilities alongside the library collections. As an active military installation, public access may be restricted, so visitors should check conditions beforehand.
The installation integrates three distinct military functions: officer training, specialized library services, and recruitment operations in one location.
