Rolighed, Event venue and former country house in Skodsborg, Denmark.
Located 16 kilometers north of Copenhagen, Rolighed spans 3,000 square meters and includes an auditorium, classrooms, and group meeting spaces.
Built in 1927 by architect Søren Vig-Nielsen for R. Howard Grøn, the property replaced an original wooden structure from 1780 owned by Norwegian civil servant Carsten Anker.
The venue maintains Danish architectural heritage through its white-plastered structure and incorporation of seventy restored Wegner CH23 dining chairs made of oak.
The facility contains modern conference amenities, a restaurant kitchen in the basement, guest accommodations in the former gardener's lodge, and wellness center by the lake.
During the 1807 Battle of Copenhagen, the original Rolighed building survived confiscation due to owner Carsten Anker's connection with British commander Arthur Wellesley.
