Kongstedlund, Manor house in Himmerland, Denmark
The rectangular main building of Kongstedlund stands on a foundation with dried moats, featuring white-washed walls and a sandstone entrance portal.
Danish nobleman Niels Juul constructed Kongstedlund in 1592, establishing the Renaissance-style manor on the remains of an earlier fortification structure.
The entrance portal from 1640 displays sculpted warriors in armor, angels, and female figures supporting a family coat of arms in sandstone.
The private residence remains closed to visitors, though the exterior architecture and surrounding grounds are visible from the adjacent road.
Princess Dagmar of Denmark, daughter of King Frederik VIII, lived at Kongstedlund from 1922 to 1961 with her husband Jorgen Castenskiold.
