Tidens Samling, Cultural history museum in Odense, Denmark
Tidens Samling is a museum in Odense with nine rooms displaying authentic interiors and clothing from the decades between 1900 and 1999. Each room represents a different period and shows how people lived and dressed at home.
The collection was founded by Annette Hage starting in 1992, after she had gathered items for years through her store BAZAR XL from the late 1960s onward. This personal collecting passion later became a public museum presenting Danish everyday life and style.
The museum shows how Danish homes and fashion changed over a century, with authentic furniture, clothing, and everyday objects from each era. Visitors experience how differently people lived in the early 1900s compared to the 1990s.
The museum is located in Brandts Klædefabrik and opens Monday through Saturday, with audio guides available in English. Plan about two hours to comfortably explore all the rooms and examine the details of each decade.
Visitors can touch objects, sit on furniture, and even try on clothing from different decades. This hands-on experience lets you truly feel the past rather than just looking at it.
