The monument comprises three granite chambers with illuminated walls, featuring inscriptions and an eternal flame in the central space
Created by artist Finn Reinbothe, the monument was inaugurated by Queen Margrethe II on September 5, 2011, commemorating Danish international efforts since 1948
Names of Danish individuals who served in missions across Cyprus, Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan are inscribed on the memorial walls
Located in the Citadel of Copenhagen, the memorial remains accessible to visitors throughout the day without entrance fees
The central chamber displays the meaningful inscription 'En tid - Et sted - Et menneske' translating to 'One time - One place - One human'
