Relizane Province

The Relizane Province extends across 4,870 square kilometers of diverse terrain, featuring 13 districts and 38 municipalities at an elevation of 304 meters.

Established in 1984 through the division of Mostaganem Province, Relizane became one of Algeria's 58 provinces following the national administrative reorganization of 2019.

The province maintains traditional agricultural practices with extensive olive cultivation, while local artisans continue producing handmade goods representing regional techniques.

The province connects major Algerian cities through the Autoroute Est-Ouest, with the capital city Relizane functioning as a central transportation and commercial center.

Each of the 13 districts in Relizane Province operates under a dual governance system with locally elected representatives and a presidential appointee managing affairs.
