Kõltsu manor

Kõltsu manor is a wooden manor house built on sand dunes with Swiss-style architecture and elaborate interior details. The structure blends Swiss architectural features with traditional Estonian country estate design elements throughout.

The manor was constructed in the early 1800s and underwent major renovation in the mid-1880s by a noble family. This renovation shaped the appearance we see today.

Bronze sculptures placed throughout the gardens reflect the estate's role as a space for displaying artistic works. Stained glass windows and wrought iron details inside reveal how decorative craftsmanship was valued in manor interiors.

The site is best explored on foot, with paths leading across the sand dunes from the main building. Visitors should be prepared for uneven ground as the property sits on rolling terrain.

The placement on sand dunes was unusual for a manor house at the time, giving the property a distinctive geographical setting. This location allowed for open views and made it stand apart from typical flat estate grounds.
