The Tank Monument of Narva

The T-34-85 tank stands on a 2.2-meter high limestone base near the road connecting Narva to Narva-Jõesuu in northeastern Estonia.

The monument marks the location where Soviet troops of the Leningrad Front crossed the Narva River under General Fedjuninski's command in July 1944.

Local wedding parties incorporate this memorial into their celebrations by tying colored ribbons around the tank's barrel as part of their matrimonial traditions.

The tank monument stands as the final landmark on the route from Narva to Narva-Jõesuu, following the memorial to Imperial Russian soldiers from 1700.

In 2022, despite local residents' requests to keep it in Narva or transfer it to Sinimäe World War II Museum, authorities relocated it to Viimsi Military Museum.
