Deir el-Bahari, Ancient complex in Egypt
Deir el-Bahari is a complex of mortuary temples and tombs located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite the city of Luxor, Egypt.
The first monument built at the site was the mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II of the Eleventh dynasty.
It is one of the most characteristic temples in the Theban Necropolis, known for its design and decorations.
The site is open to the public and can be reached from the Valley of the Kings.
The Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari is considered one of the 'incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt.'
