Bent Pyramid, Bent Pyramid in Egypt
The Bent Pyramid is an ancient Egyptian pyramid located at the royal necropolis of Dahshur.
Constructed under the Old Kingdom Pharaoh Sneferu (about 2600 BC), the Bent Pyramid is unique due to its double slope.
The Bent Pyramid represents a transitional form between step-sided and smooth-sided pyramids.
The Bent Pyramid is now open for tourists after many years of restoration work.
It's called 'Bent' because of the sudden change in angle of its sides, midway up.
