Pyramid G1-a, Subsidiary pyramid in Giza
Pyramid G1-a is situated in the eastern cemetery of the Giza pyramid complex.
It is believed to have been constructed for the burial of Hetepheres I, during the Fourth Dynasty.
Similar to other pyramids, G1-a was part of the ancient Egyptian practice of building mortuary monuments.
The pyramid is not as frequently visited as the Great Pyramid, but it offers insights into the development of pyramid construction.
Pyramid G1-a stands out due to its size, which is significantly smaller than the major pyramids at the site.
