Pyramid of Neferirkare, Pyramid in Egypt
The Pyramid of Neferirkare is the second largest pyramid in the Old Kingdom of Egypt.
Built for Pharaoh Neferirkare Kakai during the 5th Dynasty, it was originally designed as a step pyramid.
It represents the transition from step pyramids to true pyramids in ancient Egyptian architecture.
Located in the necropolis of Abusir near Cairo, it's a popular tourist destination.
Despite its size, it remains unfinished and lacks the typical limestone casing.
