The Palau de la Música Catalana is a concert hall designed in the Catalan modernista style by architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
Built between 1905 and 1908, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.
It is home to the Orfeó Català, a choral society founded in 1891 that played a leading role in the Catalan cultural movement known as the Renaixença.
The concert hall seats about 2,200 people and offers guided tours in several languages.
Its central skylight of stained glass was designed by Antoni Rigalt whose centerpiece is an inverted dome in shades of gold surrounded by blue that suggests the sun and the sky.
