King Abdelaziz Mosque, Islamic mosque in Marbella, Spain.
The King Abdelaziz Mosque features a central dome measuring 12 meters in diameter with 24 stained glass windows illuminating the main prayer hall.
Completed in 1981, this mosque marks the first Islamic place of worship constructed in Spain following the Christian reconquest of the fifteenth century.
The mosque includes a library containing 30,000 volumes dedicated to Koranic studies, serving the local Muslim community and visitors from around the world.
The religious center accommodates 800 worshippers and contains separate prayer rooms for women on both sides of the main prayer space.
A 500-kilogram bronze chandelier from the 7th century, handcrafted in Fez with 130 individual lamps, hangs from the center of the main dome.
