Jaciment arqueològic de l'Esquerda

The archaeological complex extends across 12 hectares of land, featuring ancient structures and artifacts from multiple historical periods along the Ter River valley.

Archaeological investigations since 1977 have revealed continuous occupation from the 8th century BCE through the 14th century, including Iberian and medieval settlements.

The research area includes reconstructed buildings, experimental archaeology zones, and a museum displaying artifacts that represent local construction methods and daily activities.

While the archaeological grounds remain open daily, the museum operates four days weekly and the experimental research area requires advance reservations for visits.

The site maintains an experimental research space of 1600 square meters where visitors can observe demonstrations of ancient techniques like bread making and bronze casting.
