Urederra waterfall

Urederra waterfall is located in Sierra de Urbasa and features water cascading down steep limestone cliffs. The river has carved a deep valley through the mountain over many centuries.

The Urederra River shaped this landscape through erosion of the limestone mass over thousands of years. The gorge formed from the constant force of flowing water.

The waterfall area represents a natural heritage site of Navarra and holds status as a Site of Community Importance for habitat conservation.

Visitors must book the hike in advance online to limit visitor numbers at the site. The terrain requires sturdy shoes and moderate fitness for the uphill sections.

The water displays an intense turquoise color from minerals in the limestone of the area. This coloring shifts with changing light and seasons.
