Parc zoologique de Champrepus

The Parc zoologique de Champrepus is a zoo set across 10 hectares with around 300 animals from about 60 species living in naturalized enclosures. The facility is organized into several themed areas that recreate different habitats.

The zoo was founded in 1957 and grew from a small local facility into a recognized wildlife park. The site expanded and evolved over the following decades.

The zoo presents daily feeding demonstrations where visitors watch keepers care for the animals while learning about conservation efforts. These sessions help guests understand how wildlife is protected and studied.

The zoo operates from February through November with changing hours depending on the season. Visitors should plan ahead, as the grounds are large and take time to explore thoroughly.

The zoo features an underwater viewing window where visitors can watch penguins swimming beneath the surface. This glass-walled pool houses around 25 Cape penguins and offers a rare glimpse of their aquatic behavior.
