Château de Trébons

Château de Trébons is a stone manor house in Grainville-Ymauville featuring classical proportions and symmetrical design from the late 1700s. The rectangular structure displays regular window placement and carefully balanced architectural elements across its facades.

Architect Joseph-Abel Couture built the castle in 1767 on the foundations of an earlier manorial residence that previously occupied the site. Wings were added after the French Revolution but later removed due to structural concerns.

The château displays French neoclassical features with its balanced facades of pale stone and carefully restored interior spaces. The architectural details reflect the elegance typical of noble residences from the 1700s.

The side structures of the castle were built with special attention to frost resistance, as the original material proved vulnerable to weathering. During the 20th century, damaged sections had to be removed and were later reconstructed using more durable stone.
