Rocher d'Agniel, Summit in Maritime Alps region, France.

Located at an elevation of 765 meters, Rocher d'Agniel presents steep cliffs that descend toward the Argens river in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.

During the Middle Ages, religious pilgrims visited the summit to observe three natural faults in the rock, which they associated with the crosses of Calvary.

Local folklore includes a tale about Marie, who found protection at La Roquette when a rockslide created a tunnel, leading to annual May 1st commemorations.

The hiking trail extends for 6 kilometers with a 350-meter elevation gain, requiring approximately two and a half hours to reach the summit.

Artist Bernar Venet created three cross sculptures in the 1990s near the summit, drawing inspiration from the geological formations and religious significance.

Elevation above the sea: 765 m
