Sépulture d'Isabelle et René Viviani, Historical burial site in Seine-Port, France

The circular marble mausoleum features a stepped dome and intricate wrought iron gates adorned with poppy designs in the Seine-Port cemetery.

René Viviani, who served as France's Prime Minister from 1914 to 1915 and declared general mobilization at the start of World War I, rests here.

The 1924 monument combines architectural elements by Guillaume Tronchet with Art Deco ironwork by Edgar Brandt and Venetian enamel mosaics.

The burial site, located at 66 rue de Melun, underwent a complete restoration in 2014 funded by local authorities and preservation organizations.

The tomb's iron gates creator, Edgar Brandt, later designed prominent building facades along Manhattan's Fifth Avenue during the Art Deco period.
