The 2,395-meter-long concrete box girder bridge supports Line B of the Rennes metro system, connecting three elevated stations across urban areas.
Construction of the viaduct began in May 2016, involving 70 support pillars and 973 precast segments, reaching completion in June 2021.
The viaduct serves the university campus of Beaulieu and technology district Rennes Atalante, linking educational and research centers with urban communities.
Passengers can access three integrated elevated stations along the structure: Beaulieu-Université, Atalante, and Cesson-Viasilva, the northern terminus.
The bridge incorporates Y-shaped and X-shaped pillars to accommodate curved sections, with spans varying between 30 and 37 meters in length.
