Herbiers Universitaires de Clermont-Ferrand, Botanical research facility at Clermont-Auvergne University, France.
The herbarium contains over one million plant specimens and 620,000 specimen parts gathered by 500 botanists from the 18th to 21st centuries.
In 1865, the collections were transferred from the old Clermont museum to the new faculty of sciences located in the Lecoq botanical garden.
The facility contributes to the RECOLNAT national project, documenting botanical diversity with 320,376 sheets recorded from the Clermont-Ferrand collections.
Researchers can access the herbarium Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM at 3 Boulevard Lafayette.
The collection includes specimens from Auguste de Saint-Hilaire and houses the granite pink flower collected by René Verriet de Litardière in 1941.
