Königsangerspitze, Mountain summit in Feldthurns, Italy
Königsangerspitze is a summit in the Sarntal Alps at 2439 meters elevation. Multiple hiking routes cross its rocky slopes and lead to the peak.
The mountain has been used by local herders and farmers for generations. Hiking trails were gradually marked and organized over time to provide visitors with safe routes.
The Radlseehütte mountain refuge at 2284 meters serves traditional South Tyrolean dumplings every Thursday, reflecting the regional culinary preferences.
The ascent can begin from several parking areas such as Garner Wetterkreuz or Kühboden. The route passes through forested sections and rocky terrain, so proper footwear and sure-footedness are necessary.
A relief panel with engravings of surrounding peaks sits near the summit cross to help visitors identify distant mountains. This carved guide serves as a practical tool for understanding the landscape.
