Castello dei Manzoli

Castello dei Manzoli is a rectangular fortified structure in Minerbio with sturdy towers positioned at each corner, an internal courtyard, and a water-filled moat circling the entire perimeter. The building merges residential space with defensive features, displaying typical medieval design through its solid walls and corner bastions.

Construction began in 1411 when Knight Bartolomeo Manzoli incorporated an older defensive tower into a new fortified residence. The structure evolved from a military stronghold into a dwelling that balanced protection with living comfort over the following centuries.
