Santa Croce Church, Parish church in Moneglia, Italy
The Santa Croce Church stands with its baroque facade adorned by two chains from the port of Pisa, marking the center of Moneglia.
Following the collapse of the previous structure, the current single-nave church building was constructed in 1725 to serve the local congregation.
The church interior contains notable artworks, including the statue of the Immaculate Conception by Anton Maria Maragliano and a Byzantine crucifix.
The church functions as the main parish center within the vicariate of Sestri Levante in the diocese of Chiavari for religious services.
The facade displays two chain links captured during the Battle of Meloria in 1284 by local resident Trancheo Stanco.
