Chieri Cathedral

Santa Maria della Scala Cathedral is a Gothic church in Chieri featuring three naves with soaring stone vaults and decorated walls. The interior displays colored glass windows and sculptures arranged throughout the spaces beneath the high arches.

The church was founded in 1001, making it one of the oldest religious buildings in the Piedmont region. Over the centuries, it was expanded and redesigned in the Gothic style to create the structure visitors see today.

The cathedral displays artworks by Flemish artists that wealthy merchants brought to Chieri during the city's prosperous 15th century. These treasures reflect the economic success of that era and still shape the interior today.
