The Santa Maria a Ripa features a single hall layout with side chapels and altars constructed during the latter part of the sixteenth century.
The construction of Santa Maria a Ripa began in 1484 and reached completion by 1510, with official consecration taking place on July 11, 1540.
The church displays numerous artworks, including an altarpiece by Ottavio Vannini and paintings by Giovanni Antonio Sogliani and the Buglioni family.
The church maintains regular mass schedules throughout the week, with services held twice daily on weekdays and four times on Sundays.
A wooden organ from 1632 stands within the church, having undergone restorations during both the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
