Santuario dei Piloni

The Santuario dei Piloni is a religious shrine in Montà featuring a Romanesque church whose facade displays two ancient Roman marble heads and brick ornaments from the 1300s. A path winds through pine woods past multiple chapels depicting scenes of Christ's Passion, concluding at a sanctuary housing a sculptural group created in the 1600s.

The Church of Saints James and Philip Minor has been recorded since the 1400s, built upon land formerly dedicated to a hunting deity. This transformation from pagan to Christian worship shaped the site's spiritual character over time.

The pathway features stops devoted to Christian Passion scenes, with visitors walking between wooden structures in a wooded setting where locals have observed religious traditions for centuries. This route reflects how the area's spiritual life has been woven into the landscape itself.
