Santuario della Beata Vergine del Marzale

The sanctuary stands on an elevated position along the Serio river, accessed through a narrow winding road among poplar groves.

The church holds documents from 1202 recording a peace agreement between the cities of Crema and Cremona during medieval conflicts.

The central baroque altar contains a 15th-century painting of Madonna del Latte by an unknown artist, displaying regional religious art traditions.

Visitors need to descend twelve meters of stairs from the cliff edge to reach the sanctuary, which sits on the high bank of the Serio river.

The Chapel of the Dead of Marzale, built in 1403, contains religious frescoes commemorating soldiers who fell in battle at this location.
