Santuario della Beata Vergine delle Grazie di Boccadirio

The sanctuary stands on top of a hill near the Tuscan border, featuring a main façade reconstructed in the 1890s and a traditional Italian architectural design.

The construction of the sanctuary began in the late 16th century, following a reported vision of the Madonna by two shepherd children in 1480 near Rio Davena.

This sanctuary ranks as the second most important shrine in the Bologna diocese and receives regular pilgrimages from the city of Prato throughout the year.

The sanctuary opens daily from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM, offering confessions, masses, and regular prayer services including rosary recitation.

The main altar displays an image of the Beata Vergine delle Grazie created by Andrea Della Robbia in 1505, acquired through Sister Brigida's efforts.
