Villa medicea di Buti

The villa features four distinct levels including cellars, ground floor, first floor, and attics, with decorated halls and architectural details throughout the structure.

Built in the 16th century on the remains of a 9th-century fortress, the villa was initially part of the Cascine di Buti farm under Medici management.

In 1767, Santi Banti commissioned Florentine artist Pietro Giarre to create frescoes inside the villa, transforming it into Villa Delizia.

The villa now serves as a venue for ceremonies, conferences, and events, protected by the Italian Fine Arts department.

The cellars contain a natural cave, documented in 1619, which according to local accounts provided a secret passage to Pisa.
