Castello della Sala

The castle stands within 600 hectares of land near Orvieto, featuring a Renaissance chapel beneath its gates and extensive wine cellars.

Angelo Monaldeschi della Vipera initiated the construction of Castello della Sala in 1350, marking the beginning of centuries of territorial influence.

The chapel contains a 15th-century fresco depicting the visit of the Magi to Bethlehem, created by artists of the Umbrian school.

The castle houses modern wine production facilities alongside a 16th-century aging cellar, maintaining specific temperature and humidity conditions.

The estate's vineyards, situated between 220 and 470 meters above sea level, produce wines including the Cervaro della Sala since 1985.
