Giardini Botanici Villa Taranto, Botanical gardens in Pallanza, Verbania, Italy.

The gardens extend across 16 hectares along Lake Maggiore, featuring 7 kilometers of paths through collections of rare plants and floristic specimens.

Scottish Captain Neil Boyd McEacharn established these gardens between 1931 and 1940, naming them after his ancestor who received the title Duke of Taranto.

The gardens serve as an educational center for botanical studies, containing nearly 20,000 plant varieties representing over 3,000 different species from worldwide locations.

The gardens remain open daily from March to November, with dedicated paths connecting various sections including greenhouses, flower arrangements, and water features.

The garden houses a Victorian greenhouse with Victoria amazonica water lilies and maintains 300 different types of dahlias in specialized display areas.
